Google’s ten years, my cognition was completely subverted
谷歌十年,我的认知被彻底颠覆

First, live for the first time in a different world. The domestic education atmosphere has always been disliked. Different personal hobbies, adventurous spirits, and mavericks will always cause parents, teachers and even leaders and officials to break their hearts. From small to large, I basically lived in a world that tried to keep all my children in rulers, frames, and cages. Imagine how I felt when I stepped into Google like me. Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter... For employees, these companies are themselves a big family and a big society that encourages differentiated survival. Among them, Google always plays the role of leader, which is a very proud thing to work at Google. The biggest benefit of differentiation is that you have the opportunity to get to know the magical characters of all kinds. Then, when you work with people who have different views on life, lifestyle, personal hobbies and even behavioral habits, you will really feel yourself. The world of life is not monotonous at all. There are so many fun people and fun things waiting to be discovered. 2 At Google, it’s not surprising to see what kind of difference. Too small to say, there are both social phobia patients who are boring in the corner and writing code, hate to communicate with people, and a rejuvenating social star. In the office, there are love-loving people with dogs to work, good fathers and mothers who value family, dreamers who struggle all night and night, technical geeks who are obsessed with strange hobbies... just like hobbies, work with me. In the past colleagues, the fun hobbies include: creating a bizarre bicycle in the garage every day, taking an unpaid holiday to help others run for the president, and every weekend they go to a place they have never been to. A tour, study ancient rhyme, study marine life in the open sea, resell second-hand photographic equipment for a long time, write science fiction, try to jump outside the atmosphere and break the world record... Of course, to respect differentiation, you can’t stop anyone from Go to bed early and then spend only two hours a day doing the rest of the work for twelve hours. Going bigger, Google’s support for the LGBT community is well known. I originally understood this support as something more "politically correct". After a while, I knew how superficial my understanding was. On one occasion, a romantic marriage proposal video of a gay male in the company's restaurant in the San Francisco office was widely spread and touched many colleagues. I remembered afterwards that I had seen one of the happy lovers at a meeting in Silicon Valley. On another occasion, the entire team that I was in received an email from an executive who announced his gender change, saying that from that day on, everyone needs to call him "her." Contrary to what many people understand, these things happening around you don't always remind you of the existence of the LGBT group. Conversely, the more you experience, the more you will pay attention to them – they or they are ordinary members of human beings, with you. I don't have much difference. When I followed Google’s documentary HUMAN on YouTube last year, I knew it was clear that the word Diversity was already part of my blood, and there was no gap between my brain and the brain of the documentary creator. At that time, I fell into meditation on a strange face on the screen. I think the most ridiculous thing in this world is that human evolution has benefited from the difference between genes and personality. Many people will laugh at the differences between others and themselves, and try to force others to change. I am generally stubborn and ignorant. Sexual orientation is so, love, marriage, family, work, and career are all the same. Please continue to see the second part. |
